Introduction
The Republic of Maldives, commonly known as the Maldives , anciently known as 'Liushan', located in Sri Lanka and south-southwest of India The Indian Ocean is about 500 kilometers away and belongs to South Asia. With an area of 298 square kilometers, Maldives is one of the smallest countries in Asia with a population of 515,696. Male is the country’s capital and largest city, traditionally called 'Island of the Kings'.
About the National Anthem
National Salute-'Unity to pay tribute to our country'
'National Salute', also known as 'Unity' Tribute to Our Country' is the national anthem of the Maldives. It was written by Muhammad Jameel Didi in 1948 and was written by Sri Lankan music master Pandit Wannakuvatawadug Tang. Amaradwa composed the music in 1972.

Emblem Meaning
The Maldives National Emblem consists of five elements: a coconut tree in the middle and the national flag on both sides. The center is gold. The crescent moon holding the star symbolizes that Maldives is an Islamic country. The following ribbon book has the traditional country name of Maldives (الدولة المحلديبية).
