Introduction
The Slovak Republic, commonly known as Slovakia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Its predecessor was Czechoslovakia, in 1993 Peacefully separated into two countries, Czech Republic and Slovakia. It covers an area of about 49,000 square kilometers and has about 5.4 million inhabitants. It is bordered by the Czech Republic to the northwest, Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east, Hungary to the south, and Austria to the southwest. The capital and largest city is Brady Slava.

Emblem Meaning
The Slovak National Emblem began in the 1848 Revolution. It became part of the Czechoslovak National Emblem in 1914 , Was banned from 1961 to 1989 because it was accused of being a symbol of the 'Slovak State' and replaced it with a coat of arms painted with the Slovak National Liberation Movement's fire and Krivan peaks. Its legal status was restored on March 1, 1990. It was designated as the national emblem of Slovakia that is about to become independent on September 3, 1992.
