Introduction
Belize, also known as British Honduras, is an independent country on the east coast of Central America. Belize borders Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the south and west, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Its territory is about 290 kilometers (180 miles) long and 110 kilometers (68 miles) wide. It is the only country in Central America without a Pacific coastline.

'Free Land' is the national anthem of Belize. Samuel Alfred Hay Written by Ince and composed by Selwin Waford Young, the song was completed in 1963 and adopted as the national anthem in 1981.

Behind is a large-leaf mahogany tree. There are lumberjacks guarding both sides. The ribbon says 'I am in the shade Prosperity.' The outer ring is surrounded by a wreath of 25 pairs of leaves, implying that Belize is composed of 50 counties.
