Introduction

Barbados is an island country located on the border between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It is the easternmost island of the West Indies and the capital is Burri. Chidun. The island covers an area of 430 square kilometers, mainly lowlands. There are some hills in the interior of the island. Barbados Island is located at 13ºN, 59ºW and its vicinity. It is about 434.5 kilometers northeast of Venezuela.

Flag Meaning

Proportion 2:3. Three vertical flags in blue, yellow and blue, with a black trident in the center. Blue symbolizes the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea , Yellow symbolizes the golden beach. The black trident originated from the colonial coat of arms.

Emblem Meaning

The National Emblem of Barbados is a shield emblem. The yellow ground is painted with a ficus and two golden phoenix flowers. Above the shield There is a helmet with an arm that raises the sugar cane. The two sides of the shield are guarded by mahi and pelicans. The national motto 'self-esteem and diligence' is written on the ribbon.
