Introduction
The Republic of Albania, commonly known as Albania, is a country located in southeastern Europe and southwest of the Balkans. Albania faces Italy across the Adriatic Sea and the Otranto Strait to the west, Greece to the south, North Macedonia to the east, Kosovo to the northeast, and Montenegro to the north. The capital is Tirana, and its international code is AL. During the Cold War, Albania was a socialist country. Albania is one of the least developed and low-income developing countries in Europe, but it has improved significantly in recent years. Albania formally joined NATO in 2009. In June 2014, the EU accepted Albania as a candidate country for the EU, and in June 2018, the EU approved Albania to start negotiations for accession in June 2019.

‘Pledge on the Flag‘ is the national anthem of Albania. The lyricist was Albanian poet Asadreni, and the composer was Romanian Prian Bolombescu. After the first Balkan War in 1912, Albania declared independence under the support of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the song was used as the national anthem. After the end of World War II, the Socialist Republic of Albania was established and continued to adopt this national anthem. After the country was renamed the Republic of Albania in 1991, the national anthem remained unchanged.
Flag Meaning
