Introduction
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, commonly known as Ethiopia, is a sovereign country located in the Horn of Africa. It borders Eritrea to the north and northeast, Somalia to the east (including Somaliland, which is not universally recognized), to Sudan and South Sudan to the west, and Kenya to the south. Ethiopia has more than 100 million inhabitants and is the world’s most populous. It is also the second most populous African country (after Nigeria). Ethiopia has a land area of 1.1 million square kilometers, and the capital and largest city is Addis Ababa.

Flag Meaning
Ratio 1:2. Green-yellow Three horizontal red flags with the national emblem in the middle. Green symbolizes the earth and hope, yellow symbolizes love and peace, red symbolizes courage and patriotism. The three colors of red, yellow and green also represent the three regions, red is Tikri, and yellow is Amhara , Green is West Oia. The blue of the national emblem symbolizes peace, and the five-pointed star symbolizes national unity and cooperation.
Emblem Meaning
The Ethiopian National Emblem was opened in 1996. It is round, blue and painted. There is a radiant yellow five-pointed star. This emblem also appears on the Ethiopian flag.
