'God Bless Our Homeland Ghana' 'Bless Our Homeland Ghana' is the national anthem of Ghana. The lyrics and composer are Philip Gobe, adopted in 1957. However, the lyrics were later changed to use the version by Michael Kwame Gobertzoe. < br>
Flag Meaning
The ratio is 2:3. Three horizontal flags of red, yellow and green with a black five-pointed star in the middle. Red symbolizes the blood shed by independence, green symbolizes agriculture and forests, and yellow symbolizes mineral resources and Natural resources. The black star symbolizes Africa’s independence and freedom.
Emblem Meaning
The Ghanaian National Emblem was inaugurated on March 4, 1957 as a shield emblem. The blue ground is painted with St. George with a green gold border. The cross, with a golden lion in the center, representing the United Kingdom. The four quadrants are sword, castle, cocoa tree (symbolizing agriculture) and gold mine. Above the shield, there is a garland in the colors of the national flag and a black five-pointed star. The eagle guard of the 'Medal' composed of the national flag pattern. The book on the ribbon below is the national motto 'Freedom and Justice'.
