About the National Anthem
National Anthem of Guatemala-'Guatemala National Anthem'-Guatemala Feliz

' 'Guatemala National Anthem' was written by José Joaquin Palma and composed by Rafael Alvarez Ovale. It won the official national anthem competition. As the highlight of the Central American Exposition, it was held on the evening of March 14, 1897 Premiered at the Cologne Theater. The composer was awarded a gold medal and a certificate of honor, but at the time it was impossible to know who the writer was. It was not until 1911 that people knew he was the Cuban poet Jose Joaquin Palma, and he was worn on his deathbed. A silver wreath is placed.
Flag Meaning
