The Republic of Malawi, commonly known as Malawi, is a landlocked country located in southeastern Africa. It is adjacent to Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania. The country is located between 9°45' to 17°16' south latitude and 32°35'-35°24' east longitude.

'God Bless Malawi' is the national anthem. After the country became independent in 1964, it was selected as the official song representing Malawi.
